i have a prescription for chantex and everyone has said that it works great but you get weird vivid dreams
I had to quit that stuff after three days cause of the side effects. I was so disappointed. It does work I have been told. They gave me some other stuff called nortriptyline and other than becoming a fat ass I would say it worked okay. Nicotine addiction sucks, particularly when you have to find alternative ways to calm the cravings. I already exercised, but I found time really went slow. By the way, if you are considering chantix without insurance it is expensive.

Everyone at the rehab i was at took chantix and said it worked for them but there sides. Wellbutrin gives me bad anxiety its kinda a stim and it killed whatever good a cigg does for me. i dont have a problem with ciggs i smoke one or 2 a day.

Yeah I had to do the timed smoking thing in combo with the meds. I did one hour, then two, then two and a half, then three, and so forth. Once I got down to four I was really trying to convince myself not to quit. To relieve pressure and not give in I began smoking half of a cig four times a day. Then I figured it was okay to stop. It was. Whatever works do it. I had sinus surgery, and several problems from smoking. I am not that old either. I barely am turning 31. By the way, if anyone quits while in rehab I give them major props. I used to work in one of those places as a therapist prior to transferring over to the state. I was taught to promote smoking to curb heroine and other addictions. Kind of a flawed system. Cigs seemed harder for most people to curb. For reviews on meds like chantix check out askapatient.com. They are not always very good at advice, but it shows others experiences. Good luck to all of you trying to curb this crappy addiction.

I actually quit smoking like 3 months ago i smoked maybe twice since then when i was really high. I read somestuff about chantix leading to suicide thoughts and or suicide lol better off smoking.
Hey all, I saw my new Dr. yesterday and allthough I have 99% quit smoking, I still dip. He says that is bad for my Crohns as well. I was thinking of going to my Dr. and trying one of those meds. ( Chantix, Wellbutrin ) because I have no willpower and the patches and gum didn't work. Any of you health nuts ever try any of this stuff? What worked for you and what do you suggest?
