Here is a pretty extensive tutorial explaining how they work.

my first choice would be to find the abs (in a similar shot, lighting, etc) you want from another picture and blend it into hers.
1. paste the abs onto a new layer.
2. adjust the hue/saturation, color balance, brightness/contrast, levels to match your wife.
3. create a layer mask and blend with a soft brush.
4. add any lighting/shadows if necessary

that should do it.

or just get one of us to do it haha

well i downloaded a free trial of photoshop and i can not figure out how to use it but i really wanna learn cuz i think its cool lol...the main thing i want to do is just touch up some of my modeling pics cuz i have a ton and my photographer doesnt have time to fix each and every one only the ones we use...i cant figure out what tools are for what and how to do the layer thing??
