yeah nice tut. I think its something that I could do and once I got that down I'll try and use the shorter clipping mask option just to get more familiar with all the different controls in the program.

i used clipping mask and came up with this,

When you have the text set, CTRL+click on the text layer in the pallet (right click I believe for PC users), and select "Create Work Path."

I am having a problem with this. The ctrl click or the right click does not work. Nothing brings up the "Create Work Path" for me...please help.

For the PC you right click while the mouse if over the text layer (in the layer pallette). The layer pallette will give you different menus depending on what part of the layer you click and if you have layer mask or layer style applied to a layer. Move your mouse around within the active layer bar to see what menus appear with right-clicking and you should get the menu option you are trying to find.

Way cool dude...I read your post and it motivated me to create one...but went my own way!

1. Created a black background
2. created a blank second window
3. Typed the text on the black background layer
4. cutted the text
5. flatten the image
6. threw it on top of an image which in this case "fire"
7. fooled around with the filters
