i cannot seem to find extract under filter using cs4 extended also have cs3 extended if needed

LOL I just went to a seminar on Photoshop for Photographers last week and Ben Willmore has his book UptoSpeed with CS4 and he starts off each chapter with "Where's my Stuff". He said that that seems to be the biggest problem with new releases, is they move the tools around and everybody loses time trying to find things. I think I will grab a copy when I upgrade. Pretty small and should not take long to read.

To your question, you have to manually install the extract tool in CS4. The geniuses at Adobe left that as an alternate install, reportedly under the goodies folder.

Ok, I've tried this technique several times after I posted that it worked great and it's not working so great anymore. It keeps leaving a huge area around the picture with spots.
Does this only work good on a picture with a plain background?
