Hey TX.... you still got the source pic. links from this? I'd like to try it out, I think it would help with my learning to blend. Thanks.. and repped.
O.k. here is one of my first attempts trying to follow a tut. with PS. I am sure I will get better as I learn all the tips and tricks, but ya gotta start somewhere....
Heh... knocking on wood bro. It hasn't missed a beat since the scare this morning.. I am just hoping all is good for a bit now. My warrenty is up in September and I was going to not only renew but also take to the Geek Squad and let them give it a good once over before it expired. I need to upload some of my progs. and all onto my daughters laptop and when they start school in August then I was going to take it in.. The last time they had it they kept it for a damn week and this thing is unfortunately part of my life. So at least if I have hers I will be able to get through a week a little easier.. LOL
I didn't go back in and do the final sharpening.. Main reason is because I didn't see that step ( LOL ) but then when I went back in, I couldn't find out how to bring up the Unsharp Mask option. I'm still a little lost trying to find everything. But I'm slowly getting there.. BTW... Using a mask versus the Eraser tool is FTW!!!!! Thanks TX, and to everyone else who has helped me.. You guys are da bomb.
i didnt use masks untill just a little while back
didnt even know what they were
would you believe im just a noob at photoshop too
learning it will never stop
but it will always be fun and thats the point
Thats why I know I will learn this and become halfway decent with time. I have learned how to do many things I have no interest in, but something as fun as this will take no time.. I just can't believe how people kept telling me that Fireworks and PS were the same.. They do have similarities... but I can tell PS is da bomb.. It's just almost like starting over though trying to find all the new stuff, but there is a lot more to offer.. I guess I am going to try and get some of those special brushes out there that people have made as well... Do y'all use those much?
I have a suggestion. If you are using a layer mask, drop the opacity of a soft brush and feather the area around the nose so the blend is smooth. The eyes look good.

i did that a little, but didn't want to take too much off. had it down from 100-50-25-18 ish in different stages. was wondering though. the nose is hard to get natural looking. i will mess with it more.
