STeGoR's Blood and Weapons Photoshop Tutorial

Ok, for starters I used the bar hoppers picture

Next, I started a new layer for the headwound. The headwound is one of many brushes that come in these two splatter brush packs.

http://www.photoshopforce.com/forum/...ads.php?dl=104
http://www.photoshopforce.com/forum/...ads.php?dl=103

The splatters arent numbered, but resize them to be smaller than when you first open the in PS and they look like great blood spatters. As you browse through, there is a brush that will 100% resembl what I used for a headshot, you'll just need to make it smaller ( near the beggining of the spatter brushes )

Next What I did was use the clone stamp to get rid of the mans bottle. Since he is wearing a blue striped shirt, it made it really easy to get rid of the bottle and have it look good!

Now, this is the technique I used to made the hands overlap the weapons so well.
1st, I make two new layers. One layer, the gun. Next layer, the knife.

2nd, The gun hand, I make sure I have the main layer selected (the main picture) then I ZOOM in about 200-300% with the hand infront of me.

Then I resize the weapon and make sure it is in the correct position and size I would like. After the weapon is placed, I make the layer invisble ( by clicking the EYE icon on the layer list.

Then I click the main layer ( main pic ) and I use the lasso tool and I outline what part of the fingers are overlapping the weapon, after this I click the EYE icon on the weapon layer and I can see what I selected, but instead it had that part of the gun selected, so I just hit the "delete" button or Ctrl-X to clear the selection.

Next, to get the shadow of the gun, I click the guns layer. Then, I got to the layer menu on top then... Layer -> Layer Style -> Drop Shadow.
You can keep everything the same in this option but change the angle of the light so the shadow is on top (this is what I did, you can do it whichever way you would like), after this is done you can mess with the distance and the spread option to create the effect you are looking for.

For the tattoo's, I used a really grungy looking for, typed out the single letters and placed them and rotated them how they looked best.

For the girls black eye I got lazy and googled "black eye" and just edited it so it would fit the face.

OK, so that really all that happened w/ this CHOP. Any questions on something I didnt cover very well, just PM me. Thanks, have fun peoples!

Thanks.
Good chop, good tutorial.

Whats this "clone" tool?

I've never used it. I always cut a new layer and then copy it a bunch to fill in spaces. If this clone thing is as good as I think it is, I could save a hell of a lot of time on chopping.

Refer to the Pic w/ clone stamp on it.

You find an area you want to use to cover up another area. You find the starting spot, hold Alt- and click the spot, then goto the area you want to cover up and just start brushing over it.

EDIT: I live by the clone stamp tool. Saves time, energy and in the end will make your chops look much more professional. It can take sometime to be very skilled in it.

(TIP: Watch the size of the brush for the clone stamp, can get very ugly, very quick!)

Great tutorial! I actually tried to use something like the clone stamp on an older program I was using. (except I never found a practical aplication for it)
I did this with the cloner when I first started chopping (yeah, I know it's not very good)-
