treehugger definitely some of the steps are missing i agree with you
designer who design that tutorial missed some parts which needs to be done more professional way i appreciate your feedback and most importantly you taking the time and mentioned every thing
i got mixed feedback regarding that tutorial and positive criticism like your's needs to be addressed properly

The step where you Magic Wand the dancing man (Steps 9 & 10) obviously have the Magic Wand tool selecting part of his white hat (and presumably his white wristband as well), your own screenshots clearly show this: 
You neglect to mention this, and also whatever steps you took in order to deselect the hat/wristband areas that you didn't want deleted.
If someone followed your steps and used your source images they would not get the same result as you show in your tutorial.
Which tools would these be? It would be nice if you at least named some of them, and maybe provided links to other tutorials that use them in order to illustrate your point.
Finally, making the burning areas "more natural" by drawing a brown line under them (Steps 38-41) looks awful.
The cloth wouldn't burn like that, never mind the shoes or skin. |
