I made the worlds most boring tutorial by video and now I need to know how to save it. What settings should I use 640x480? What format? Where the hell do I post it online?

I'd actually have to do it myself to remember, I dont remember having to do anything with the resolution.

Don't matter the resolution with youtube. File format is best in AVI I think.

640 x380 or 480x360 (default Youtube resolution) is fine. Use .avi or you can use .wmv to save on file size. The quality is lower with .wmv, but not too noticable on youtube Camtasia videos.

Oh, and it's gonna take a freaking long time to upload. Doesn't matter what kind of connection you have. I have a lightning fast connection and it always takes me forever.

you could use vimeo
they allow users to upload HD videos

I think I could drive a disk to their office faster..LOL
Uploading video takes a long time even compressed.
I found out the Camtasia does a really good job of automatically creating zooms to show more detail in areas based on your mouse movements. I turned it off at first and then went back and turned it on and it seems to show the important information without having to get carried away with resolution.
