threaded/hybrid mode??????

Does anyone use these modes?
Does anyone even know what they are?

I've been messing around with them a little.

the thing is:
The quick reply area on the bottom of every thread could be set so you can just type in it anytime and hit "quick reply". I like that option but if you have it enabled it screws up the threading.
but if no one uses the threading option then it wouldn't matter and we could have the quick reply enabled.

I use quick reply EVERYTIME, like right now...

If I enable "quick reply" without people first having to click on which post they are replying to it will make the use of quick reply a lot easier because you dont have to hit "reply" then go to a new page and reply, then come back to the page you were on. its all on one page.
Less page loads, faster surfing.

I think you might be one of the only ones that does this.

Ya, I thought you did, cuz your posts are the only ones that follow line up in hybrid mode.
I think most everyone else uses the "reply" button.

with quick reply now, the page doesn't reload before you can type. JB, are you using internet explorer on a mac?

LOL, No. Firefox on a pc.

What I'm saying is you wont have to click "reply" anymore on someones post. You will just be able to get to the bottom of the thread and then start typing.
No more going back up and clicking which post you want to reply to.

You still will be able to do this if you want. it just wont be manditory.

I just click anyones post............. because your post is always going to hit the bottom of the page no matter what.....

OK,
here is the real question:

Is anyone useing anything else besides the linear mode?

Are you using the hybrid or threaded view modes?

if no one is using hybrid or threaded then it wont make any difference except that it will be better and quicker.

But if people are using the hybrid/threaded mode; it will fuck them up so bad they will wish they were never born.

if your not sure which mode you have, it is in your control panel in the options area.

if you want to quote a certain person, you can click the right post's quick reply button and select "quote message in reply" under the typing area.

i did that for this post.

OK, I'm going to change it.
If I get a bunch of complaints, I will change it back.
it should be better though. ( I think)
