i love the show but a few years ago it just turned shitty, i still watch the old reruns which are awesome.

I agree. The older shows were funnier than the more recent ones.

That used to be my favorite show and I would never miss it no matter what.

for the last 3 - 5 years though it hasn't really delivered and I dont even watch it anymore or care about it at all.

I cant even remember the last time I watched it.

The first 5 seasons or so were the best.

from day 1 to the year 2000 it was really good, even up to 2002 it was still pretty good but th last few years its been shameful.

i have seen the odd episode recently that i found really funny. but i agree, it has gone downhill and they are running out of ideas. Can you really blame them though? they've been making episodes for, what, 13-14 years now? they're still making money and i heard they're making a simpsons movie for release next year.

yep its all about money, even if the show is way past its prime, it is ending in a few years though and i cant imagine how bad itll get.

Ya, I wish they could of just ended it a few years ago before it got so bad. I never thought I'd say that but its true.

It's hard to say that about shows you like. For some reason, I think I would enjoy the Simpsons reruns more if they were to end the series.
Its likeSeinfeld. They went out on a high note instead of dragging the show on for more seasons. I think its why I like it so much.
