Teen killed on Highway 75 in Plano
A 17-year-old boy was struck and killed Friday night in Plano during a bizarre incident on northbound U.S. Highway 75.
Plano police Officer David Tilley said Jason Douglas Miller had an argument with his father before the teen crossed the highway near 15th Street.
Jason apparently ran from the west side to the east side of the highway to meet his father at a restaurant, police said.
"He turns around, goes back across and was struck by two vehicles" and killed about 9 p.m., Officer Tilley said.
The father was not injured.
"It was bizarre," Officer Tilley said. "We don't know what the kid's mind-set was to run back across the highway."
Northbound Highway 75 was expected to be closed until 2 a.m. Sunday.
