Help me find out what's wrong with my car

There's an oil problem somewhere... (nag me all you want, i don't know shit about cars)

About a month ago, my oil light came on, so we fixed it. Somehow my car ran out of oil. Twas running fine and doing good, we checked the oil for the next week and a half or so. Sunday (about a month later) we change the oil and again, there's no oil in the drip pan.

There's either a small leak (small enough that it doesn't show up under the car on the pavement) or some other problem like it's burning oil (no smoke tho).

either way, we're going to look at a new cars on saturday...

what kind of car is it?

you are probably having an oil seepage leak..... this type of leak usually isnt visible..... look at your valve cover gaskets.

I had a 6-year old Blazer that only had 148K, and I drove the hell out of it.

A six year old car with 200,000 k miles is like 3,000 miles a month.

yep. i work over 50 miles from my house...

as sman said, the gaskets are probably shot. cheap part, expensive labor.
