| I also agree that your physique is your advertisement and your proof. I think it's best to look pretty big and lean without looking like your on juice. Look real clean and healthy, without looking like a nut. Non threateningly swole.
If you are going to work at a gym, then the gym may be looking for qualifications (specific) but once again, your own physique, confidence in your knowledge, social/people skills, and zest for what you do will most likely help. If you have been lifting and training yourself for 10 years and look the part, you will do much better than someone who has been lifting for 1 year and has some newbie gains and a certificate.
