i finaly got the trunk lid sanded down, i think i might have mad a mistake and made a flat spot on one of the body lines but it should be an easy fix if its to severe.... but any ways heres my hard work, now all i have left is the rest of the car
lol, no one said restoring old cars was a fast process, its a very slow and time consuming process, unless you got an assload of money and car afford to have it media blasted in 20 min, or even buy a da sander and finish the sanding in less than a week... but unfortunalty, ive only got a orbial 1/3 sheet detail sander and an ass load of ambition and patience
well, 4 more hours have passed and ive finaly finished the bottom lip of the trunk lid, i had a lot of sanding and grining to do to clean up the pitting from the surface rust, and i had to do some bondo work to patch up a few 1/4 inch rust holes but the trunk lid is finaly primed and awaiting to be sanded down to bare metal again in the near future for real primer, my next task is to sand down the inside of the trunk lid, that should be easliy another 40 hours since thiers so many contours, ridges and ect...
and unfornatly it will cost me about 5k to finish, but over time i will have over 10k invested as i get more money, my main goal right now is just to get it drivable and nice enough to take to local hotrod meets
id take the 10gs, go buy a chevelle for about 5k then invest the rest
for 5k your basicaly buying a chevelle in this condition...
no one has faith in this care do they?
btw im working dime for dime, i got 30$ to my name so jumping out and spending 10K on a car is un-heard of, building this car is just like bbing, you start frome hopeless scratch, take a dollar and a dream and spen what ever little amount of money you can on what you need and work your ass off to build the rest

no im sure ull do it easily just as long as everything goes as planned and you got the money for it.
im a fan of more muscle cars and you can buy one thats in decent shape for around 3-5k. Sure it would need fixing up but it wouldnt take as much time. Does this car even run?

im 100% sure it would fire up and run with fresh gas and an oil change, the motor hasnt seized up and everything turns freely, just i dont have any keys for it and i already have taken the radiator and heater core out fo if i was to try to start it antifreeze would go allover the place. the transmission shifts smoothly and the car rols nicely when you move it. the car was a daily driver until 3 years ago when the previous owner just parked it in a feild and walked away from it.
btw the is pretty much the super sport of buick hence gran sport so it would be impossible to find a chevelle ss convertible, or even another gs convertible in the shape any were for the price that i got it for.
