has anyone seen the movie benchwarmers? i saw a preview online for it, but doesnt come out here for another couple of months.
is it any good?
benchwarmers. really good movie. of course john heder can't escape the nepoleon dynamite type cast role, but i did enjoy. i like david spade. he was good in the movie. and happy madison prod. keeps bringing back their regulars. this movie only had rob schnider, david spade, and john lovitz. All around, i'd say it's worth watching.
Then go and watch Grandma's boy. it survived at the theater for only a few weeks, but is so wofth the rental or even purchase if you like movies based around the video game industry and sex and drug type jokes.
now the movie I watched this weekend was Cars. Made by pixar. their movies just all surpass each other. this one was excellent!! i'd recommend it to anyone that wants to take a break from reality and watch a movie that makes you laugh and makes you think about how small towns die out and vanish. i'm from a small town myself, and i have watched it grow and i've watched it shrink.
i know that every character in the movie is a car of some sort. even the bugs are WV's with wings. really cute. it has a great story line of a race car that is the rookie on the circuit and gets lost on the way to the biggest race. he ends up stuck in a town on route 66 that died out when they erected an interstate to bypass 66. after trials and mishaps in the town he finds his way back to the big time in california. and i can't tell the ending of the story.
owen wilson plays as lightening Mcqueen
larry the cable guy is the old rusty tow truck.
i thought that it was a great movie. my 10 month old watched the whole thing sitting still and enterntained.
he is the best movie go'er. he hasn't missed one movie since he's been born. he's watched one every week. with the exception of last week, we had a guest so my mom babysat while we all went out and watched the omen
which was good by the way. they threw in some subliminal pics that i didn't expece. but for the most part, it was like the original, with a few differences. one was the method of decapitation of the photographer. i thought this way was more creative than the pane of glass coming off of the truck.
I watched wolf creek last night... it was pretty lame, but had some hardcore shit in it... good to watch just cuz they took it there... but im not saying its a good movie.
I also scored my superman returns tickets for an 11:30 AM June 30th showing in IMAX 3D in lincoln center... should be off the hook...
anyone else gonna see it in 3d? no? oh, well ill tell you how awesome it was.
