I would have to vote for Dwight Yokham in Sling Blade. Haven't thought about every movie I have ever seen, but he was pretty obnoxious.

Yeah, those are too good ones, but I think the main jailer in Shawshank was actually more of an asshole than the warden was. Hadley I think his name was.

The guy just seems to have a natural affinity to playing an asshole. Must be because he's such a great actor...

Edit: Just remembered a Korean film called Oldboy.
That's one seriously messed up film and the bad guy in it must surely be a contender for the biggest asshole prize.

Joaquin Phoenix is cool as hell but I hated Commodus character in gladiator. Punk ass beezy knew he couldnt defeat Maximus, so he cheated like a true beezy, plus he killed his pops.

Oldboy is probably the movie i've most wanted to see in the past few months. Too lazy/cheap to rent it atm though.

Brian Cox springs to mind.

David Morse and Gene Hackman are also quite good at playing assholes.

It had been really built up by the time I saw it, so it wasn't as good as I was expecting.

Still a headfuck though, and the hammer scene is pretty badass.
