this is side scan sonar



its just a form of sonar that they use, gives a detailed view of the ocean floor.

i didnt have the net last night and was bored so started stuffing around in ps....thats what i ended up with, but cos i didnt have the net i didnt have a ref pic to work off nor did i have a good space ship to implant so had to draw a crappy one myself.

the ocean floor is good but the ship probably has a bit to much detail.

Why would it have a shadow, does sonar have shadows?
also around the base of it where it is dark makes it look like it just crashed like 10 minutes ago. If it had been there a while that black space would be filled in.

yeah side scan sonar has shadows, the black around the bottom is just meant to be extra shadows
