I think the skin should show a little more tearing....imperfection would add to the reality imho

I like it, as has been said, tearing. Also, maybe a little more depth IE shadows and lighting.

I'm not even sure what I mean. Maybe it's the burn around the edge, but it's a little hard to see the shadows. Probably just me though.

Like if the skin were only paper thin, there would be a shadow, but if the skin had some depth you could see an edge?

Maybe you should reposition and peel the removed section. It is a little hard to see what the area below is supposed to be.
