Centering on drawing space - Photoshop Tutorials | Photoshop Contests

How do i do this?

Ex: If i have a small object (not text) that i want centered on the photo, do i just eyeball it or is there a button that will center stuff for me?

Put the mouse cursor on the ruller until it changes to a black arrow........click and hold your mouse button.......then drag the guide out to where you need it

YEP........go under "VIEW" and scroll down to ruller

Also, notice the guides.....hide/lock guides.

You can also pull out/down."Multiple" guides

If you want to center something, make sure its on a differnet layer than your background. Then lock the background, selecet the layer you want centered, then go to edit/adjustments, align verticle and then align horizontal.
I think thats where they are, in edit/ adjustments/ align. I dont have photoshop open right now, so Im not for sure.
It may be located somewhere else. But thats how you center something.

There are lots of photoshop tutorials. It kinda depends on what you are trying to learn though as photoshop is very extensive.

Are you looking for just a general photoshop tutorial? just to learn the basics?

I have the total training photoshop CS2 DVD series and I would highly recommend anyone that wants to learn photoshop from the basics to more advanced to get it since it covers pretty much everything and is on DVD.

You can also go : File ;Place and select your object you want place in the work . The Place command automatically centers the object vertically and horizontally.
