Animation question...

My animation isn't up to par...here's an example...



I set up what I want in Photoshop (CS2) and then edit/animate it in ImageReady which is also CS2. I've noticed that a lot of the pros on here have some bad ass animations! My question is, am I doing something wrong? Or are you all using different programs? If that's the case, what programs are you using to make animation? I'd love to come up with some awesome animated sig with a cop and crotch rocket theme, but I need to get used to the programs again. Can you all point me in the right direction?

Well, it is animated,so you're on the right track. Tell us what kind of effect you're going for and maybe someone could give a little more input.
