Adobe Certification
Photoshop DiscussionPhotoshop Adobe Certification in the forums; Anyone ever do this?
I'm thinking of getting my certifications for a few programs, starting with photoshop.
http://www....
from what I can tell, you have to pay to take the tests. they are like $50 each but I think thats it.
this would make a nice addition to a resume.
I think I'm gonna become a certification whore. I never even thought about getting them before but I could easily horde up a whole stash of these things on all kinds of topics.
the adobe certified expert, costs 150 per test, there's like 4 or 5 tests

This would look good on a resume. Right now I'm doing boring statistics/data processing work at my company, but my goal is in 12 months to apply for a job at marketing. They want a candidate to be proficient in 5 adobe creative suite products, of which I only know three. I have a lot to learn, but this would be a step in the right direction.
I dont know maybe I dont know maybe I dont know maybe I dont know maybe I dont know maybe I dont know maybe I dont know maybe I dont know maybe I dont know maybe I dont know maybe I dont know maybe I dont know maybe I dont know maybe I dont know maybe I dont know maybe I dont know maybe I dont know maybe I dont know maybe I dont know maybe I dont know maybe I dont know maybe I dont know maybe I dont know maybe I dont know maybe I dont know maybe I dont know maybe I dont know maybe I dont know maybe I dont know maybe I dont know maybe I dont know maybe I dont know maybe I dont know maybe I dont know maybe I dont know maybe I dont know maybe I dont know maybe I dont know maybe I dont know maybe I dont know maybe I dont know maybe I dont know maybe I dont know maybe I dont know maybe I dont know maybe
ya, me too......
Could be just the thing to land a good/fun/$$$$ job somewhere.
This is the kind of quality photoshop related informationz that you can only get at chopz.
You dont see those "other" photoshop sites talking about this serious photoshop business.
Meh, it's just a certification. I'd prefer a nice portfolio of work over some certification any day. Knowing how photoshop technically works doesn't make you more creative.

I agree, it's not going to make anyone more creative. This is just a low cost way to add something credible to your resume in addition to your portfolio and experience. I believe hiring managers do take these certifications into consideration. It won't carry nearly the same weight as a college degree, but sort of like the icing on the cake.

but you have to know what employers want, in order to get hired. You can't show creativity in a resume, only a bunch of certifications. Sure, if they ask for a portfolio, you can do well, but you have to have certs to get in certain doors.
My career is built on certs, so believe me.
