Talking Help!!

I've been at collage studying a Multimedia introduction course.

I start the advanced course in 3 months and I'm using this time to get my Photoshop skills up .
I know the (very) basics and can follow most tutorials but I don't know what tutorials to look for to get the effects I want.

Does any1 know what I have to read up on to get an image to look like this?

This is my first post because I only found this site recently but I would be grateful if anyone could point me in the right direction.

You might try that again. When you want to post an image, click the little yellow box that has the mountians in it and paste the image link there.

I see about 8-12 sets of effects in that layered up image. Ya wanna narrow it down to a few you want to do?

Do you have a link to a tutorial to how they painted the person in the foreground?

That is one of the many illustration effects out there. You can also stack the illustrated version over the original and play with layer blend modes and layer opacity to vary the effects and mix more realism in with the illustrated.

The second part of this tute I made has another set of steps to get you there also. Ignore the liquify parts and do the last half.
