How is the outer edge of this done

I know how to add text, also how to add the shine!
But how is the white added outside the lettering, then outsidethe white theres kind of gray, then a pink outline

Then i think theres drop shadow out around all of it.

Just wondering as to how the white and grey outside the txt is done?

one way to do it is to use the magic wand to select the outline of your text then expand the selection to however large you want the white create another layer and fill your expanded selection with white then add a dropshadow for the grey I just made this I think it has what your looking for
I cut too much white out of the center of the d's on my example but thats an easy fix

not really sure, but I do know it's got a grayish blue outer glow. I don't think it'll be hard to get that.

the shine is probably just a swipe of a pen (or lowered opacity) with part of it selected with the circular selection box.
