I tried this, it seemed much harder to do this way than to make a layer above the text in original file and add some kinda glowies and move them over it. This method sounds great, but in practice, for animation it's very tricky to do. I had troubles pinpointing where my lens flares would be because you have no zoom in the preview window, and there is no preview on the actual project, in addition as you can see from the video I need to work with 13~ flares per frame maybe abit less. Without accuracy I just keep hitting undo and reclicking the len flare, because preview isn't helping
If this is the best way, can you show me or go abit more in detail? I'm having troubles so I might fall back to my original plan which was to do what treehugger said. Drawing each of the glowies is looking to be a pain even with a good brush though, so I was hopin there was a trick.
This way WILL work, but it seems harder then a shortcut I'm looking for.
