just the image, no background

i just need a quick and dirty explanation on how the have an image with no background. i want to put it inside of a circle but the frames won't let me make it big enough without overlapping.

i want just the red triangle not the white box around it. so if i paste it over say a black section, only the triangle will be present.

I put a clipping path on it for you, just activate it and then drag it into any background

i'd just paste that onto a new document with a transparent background, use the magic wand to select the white, and press the delete key.

now you've got that symbol on a transparent background.

there was a wizard under the help called export transparent image, you select the stuff you want deleted and go through the wizard, you lose image quality though (i tried it on a real pic) but it does the job on my triangle thing decent enough.
