1: how the heck did you know about the ski mask thing? did i ever say that?

2: the guy who whistled at my wife wasnt just anybody (and please take note, i am not racist) he was black, and he was known for trying to get peoples girlfriends/wifes, he was with his friends and i still chased him down 4 blocks and beat the piss out of him.

i have lots of stories, including i once fought a girl, i actually got my ass kicked very bad once in a street fight, and once i pulled a guy out of his car to fight him.

Wow, Shadow you ever been locked up before,yeah thats some hardcore shit you've mentioned on here about robbing,stealing,giving beatdowns and shit, your pretty lucky I know guys that have done prison terms for shit like that

bubba while size definitly is a factor and shadowbeast has credential, you posted quite a blanket statement there. by which i mean you stated that with his stats and height alone the only way an average pperson could knock him out was a shot to the throat... this is untrue because knock out power is knock out power assuming you you have it.


this is a funny example of that, even though the guy in the red wasnt fighting back, even a dude weighing in at a buck 40 has the potential to know someone out with the right placement

Im sorry to try and bring a semi serious descussion to this. personally i am not of the mind that it doesnt matter how big someone is, because we all know it plays a part. but time and time again manfighters have over came size to win, because they used what they had to their advantage... the biggest one that comes to my mind is Rickson Gracie, didnt matter that he was medium stature or striked like he had autism, he was good on the ground and made people play his game.



Sorry to drag this on but i posted on alot of these threads on the bb.com boards and very few people seemed to grasp the fundimentals. It was all about whos bigger and whos stronger not who was ultimately better because it was an ego boost for alot of the guys there because size and strength was something they felt they had... the biggest thing that pissed me off though was hand speed and movement where looked at as none factors over there. /rant off



PS man im way to Big to be this fast but honest to god tell me this guys speed isnt impressive

if anyone says size doesnt matter alot, its me, i say it all the time.

try being my size, and getting your ass handed to you by a 17 year old girl who is 5'2 and 110 pounds, and she is 2nd dan black belt in a martial art, lol


me being big and strong is a plus towards my martial arts skills, i have taken down small guys, and guys bigger then me in both sparring, and real fighting.

and a jab to the throat wont always work, because all these MA's also teach tons of blocks, including how to block attacks to the balls, eyes, and throat.

Im saying for the "Average Person", Shadow Beast is a black belt in 3 different martial arts and boxes and is probably used to and conditioned to getting punced in the face,stomach,and chest and plus he's probably pretty quick, for the "Average" person to fight him you'd really have to slug him in the throat probably, now if you have some vicious hands maybe you can knock him out if your lucky, now someone whos trained and knows how to scrap well could match up a hell of a lot better against him than a "average" joe

its good to hear your response, but i wasnt aiming towards you, im my mind you have proven you know your shit (not that you have to prove anything but im just saying i consider you to know what your talking about). it just brought back memories of all the "body builder vs MMA fighter threads". it just erks me to hear TUF kiddos completely disrespect and discredit viable arts because of size... not that this was happening hear bubba but i just wanted to address it before it started to spread

well in that case yah sure your absolutelty right, i just thought because you said "with his height and stats alone" saying that even if he didnt have his training he would still be near impossible for the average guy to beat... i appoligize for the mistake im just used to people making blanket statements like i thought u where doing from the other forum. anyway cheers my bad

which leads me to my story of the ONE fight i ever lost, rofl.

i was with my friends at a pool hall, this guy was staring at me from far with a funny look on his face, i yelled "you got a problem?" he yelled fuck off kid"

i ran over to him after that ready to kick some ass, and before i even reached him i got a amazingly quick kick to the face, i fell, got up and tryed to tackle him down, he stepped aside quick and let go a bunch of kicks on me, messing up my face and ribs, and that was it.

i got up after, he looked at me and shook his head, and we talked after that for a while, turns out he's a kick boxing teacher who has been doing it for 20 years, lol.

BUT, at that time i was only orange belt in karate, and red belt in aiki jiu jitsu.

i posted a pic once, that pic i posted was at a time when i was recovering from a back injury, i was doing therpy at the time, and not working out.

edit: and i only lost to that kick boxing teacher because i was still pretty new to martial arts, now would be very different.
