maybe their home machines. I have a 6910p for work, and it runs like a scalded pig. I was pleasantly surprised. I still need more RAM, but this will work for now.

you have to have a desktop? That's a toughie, 'cause I've always bought laptops and built desktops. You can build a helluva desktop for $1000.

Im good at building, but not computers haha. I need something user friendly for computers. I look into that though thanks m sure my brother could, he builds 360s. Thats what i like about alienware you "build you own" and then they actually make it

If you want a decent machine, warranty and support, the Dell Precsion workstations are pretty good bet.

agreed. Dell's higher-end support is great. You actually get an English-speaker in Texas. :don'tmesswithTexas:

Their precision stuff is awesome. Their XPS is okay, but the support is hit or miss, 'cause it falls under their Home division, I believe.

If you oder from dell, call them after you configure your system online. They will almost always discout or throw in extras if you talk to a rep. If you order thru the computer, no extras or discounts.

again, agreed. just print out your cart because it includes all the part numbers. They usually take a $$$ off, but sometimes they'll throw in a printer for free since it means ink sales for them later.

update

Was using my laptop and all of a sudden out of no where on the left bottom hinge that connect to the screen with the rest of the laptop, a piece just like poped off out of no where. no the screen is loose. im about ready to just sell the damn thing on ebay cheap and buy a new computer. (sadly this would make me wait longer for the downpayment on my bike though) :(

Good luck! I have the service plan with Best Buy and i was told that the laptop has to be shipped to the factory to be fixed 4 times before they consider it a lemon and replace it. I have bitched and bitched and bitched and all it has gotten me is anxiety and a $40 gift card.
