Setting up a FTP account

Yea it's not too hard. Sometimes you can just use IE and type in ftp.yourdomain.com replacing yourdomain.com of course.
Filezilla is pretty easy to set up and free.
If Using it it click file->site manager
New Site
give it any name
host is usually ftp.yourdomainnamehere.com
logintype is usually "normal"
username and password is usually the same as that for logging in to your c-panel
save and exit
click "connect"
All bets are off if you are on GoDaddy
they use to be a real pain in the ass

where is your FTP account?

I use BulletProofFTP. It's a paid program, but it works like a champ. A lot of people use CuteFTP, which is free. Nuttin' wrong with that.

You feed these the IP/hostname you're connecting to, then the username and password.
