| While I second the Wacom action (Intuos FTW), for those of you MOUSEkateers out there I would recommend looking into a the Logitech Trackman Wheel. The one with the trackball on the side, to be used with your thumb. Yes, I know a trackball isn't a mouse. Yes, it is a pain in the ass to get used to. BUT, once you DO adjust... Holy balls is it a lifesaver. I got my first one several years ago, and I will not ever go back to a standard mouse if I can avoid it.
For chopping, it's a lot easier to make very small, precise movements when you can rest your hand on the base and just move your thumb, as opposed to moving your whole hand (and wrist... and forearm...) Plus when you lift your thumb off the ball, you don't have to worry about the cursor moving from where you left it (unlike sometimes taking your hand off of the mouse, inadvertently moving it). |
