37" LCD tv - which is best?

I've heard only good things about Samsung.

Samsung has always been a brand that seems pretty trustworthy. Phillips was a good brand too, but I think samsung has them beat hands down.

Best brand for TV is Samsung, Sony but lately sony do shit, so I think Samsung is the winner all time

Well Samsung is gonna be a safe bet, they are making top quality tvs'. Pioneer is more expensive but also will be giving you the best hands down. Sony I wouldnt go with. LG was starting to step up their game when I stopped working at bestbuy. Visio even though bestbuy doesnt carry them so i dont have all the facts, but when i moved to couer d alene the place I was staying at had one, and I was really impressed. Remember the tv can only look as the feed your giving it though.


And it also depends on how much you want to spend. I bought myself a 32' Samsung HD LCD before I left bestbuy and I havent had any problems and the picture is really good.

I'm almost thinking of just getting a Viseo. they are about $200 cheaper and still come with a year warrenty for parts and labor.

I'm just worried that it will die on me 2 years from now or something due to sub-par worksmanship and wanted to get the samsung due to its higher quality.

my old roomie had a viseo also and it seemed like a very nice t.v. actually.

Damn, I really want to get a t.v. today but I cant find a good one for a good price.

I found a 42" dynex 1080 for $699

but a lot of the review say it has a crappy picture.

I want the samsung but its hard to justify the extra $200 for it.

I've looked for a good deal on a Vizio but haven't really found one yet. :(

ok, just got back from best buy.


I wasn't gonna go with the dynex but they had a 4 year in house warrenty for $99 that covers everything but dropping it.

so if it sucks or goes bad I can get it fixed or replaced for 4 years.

So basically I got the "quality" and "peace of mind" I was looking for with the samsung 37" 720p in a 42" 1080p for the exact same price.

yeah - 42" 1080 is what I'm shooting for.

I've found a magnavox around $699 at kmart or wal-mart, I forget which.

Dynex 42" 1080

I got the 4 year in home warrenty throug bestbuy so I'm covered if it goes bad. it was only $99 more.

So far I LOVE it. Awesome picture. easy to hook up, no problems.

plus the HD picture looks stupid good. kinda creepy watching the local hd news channel its so clear.
they actually look higher def on the t.v. than they would in person.

I love my JVC 52". Awesome HDTV, but I have already had to replace the bulb twice. It was under warrenty and I still have another 2 years on warrenty, but after that, the bulbs are like $300.00. So i'll prob. sell and get a total LCD when the warrenty runs out.
