Used or Refurbished X-box 360 - Photoshop Tutorials | Photoshop Contests

Hey all, I am looking to get a used or refurbished X-Box 360. GameStop has them for $159 with a wired controller and $169 for a wireless controller. I was looking on ebay and found a couple slightly less.

I guess what I am asking is.... what should i be looking for? I keep hearing about this three red lights of death. I don't want to buy a POS.

Should I get the refurbished from GameStop? Hell, I almost want to sell the Wii because it never gets played. I could probably sell it and get a new 360.

Let me know what I should do.

Sell the Wii, Buy new 360 from Best Buy + InStore Warranty(1yr). If it craps out on you, you can take it back and do an in store tradeout. Which then you would be given option to buy another instore warranty on new console.

Ive had the RRoD(red ring of death) once. There are ways to fix it floating around on YouTube also. DIY Kits and whatnot.

Damn, I am looking at used Wii's on ebay and prices are low. But that is just for the console. I have the Wii fit and the sports package and the steering wheel and 4 wireless controlers.

So maybe I can get $350 for it all. People don't look at how old it is really, just the fact that it is used.

But it is in mint condition. Just got it Christmas and hasn't been used hardley at all.

Heh, not much point riting RRoD if you spell it out in brackets.

I believe with RRoD'd 360s the warranty with Microsoft counts as extended. Even if they say it's no longer under warranty, you can still force them to fix it. Plus, you usually get some xbox live time as compensation and it's back within a week or two

I think M$ warranties it against RRoD for 1 or 2 years after purchase,.. if it RRoD's on you you call 1-800-4MYXBOX (I think) and tell them its RRoD and they will send you a Coffin(Shipping Box) and you send it in for repairs. This process has been known to take month or two, sometimes way quicker like 2 weeks.
