Well this is my absolute first tutorial so forgive me if it looks crazy. I have a friend that is working on his own clothing line and wanted to do a type of retro website and wanted to have a disco ball for the site, this is what I came up with....
To start, create a new document 500x500 and set the default colors back to default by pressing D.
Fill the layer with Black...
Now create a new layer and Filter-Render-Clouds. Once the clouds are in press CTRL+F about 5-6 times until you get a look that you like.
The next step is to Filter-Texture-Patchwork and I like to use a square size of 6 and relief of 8.
We are about half way done at this point...
Next use the circular marquee tool and select the center of the layer. (make sure to hold Shift to get a perfect circle)
We now have to make this a sphere so now go Filter-Distort-Sperize I stick with a standard amount of 100.
With the sphere still selected go to Select-Inverse and now hit Delete. This will leave you with your disco ball and now you can deselect by pressing CTRL+D.
For the tutorial I decided to just play around and throw a few lens flares and using a star brush tool threw some stars on the page, this is what I ended up with....Enjoy.
